First Sunday, first rain / premier dimanche, première pluie...

Nothing exciting to report about yesterday. Woke up at midday. Made plans to go to the market. Spent over one hour trying to post my previous post... (Internet is REALLY crap here) Then the rain started... Proper rain season storm, with black clouds, rain and wind. Which completely ruined the market plans... In the end, I spent the afternoon in my room, reading all my documents about the program (travel to teach). Couldn't even access the weak internet as it only barely works on the terrace, which was wet from the rain... Eventually, it stopped, so we went out for a walk and dinner. After asking for direction many times, we finally found that place where they do the 'sin-dat'. An unlimited buffet for 6$, where you pick your own meat and fish and cook it yourself over burning coal... Delicious! And now, Monday, first day of teaching... Had to turn the teacher mode back on. Not easy.. Still unsure when, what and where I'll be teaching... But hey, apparently, that's the Lao style of doing things....

Rien de passionnant à raconter pour hier... Je me suis levée vers midi. On a prévu de faire une sortie au marché l'aprem. J'ai passé plus d'une heure à essayer de poster mon dernier post... (Internet est vraiment pourri ici!) Puis il a commencé à pleuvoir. Premier aperçu de la fameuse mousson, nuages noirs, orages, pluie, vent... Donc du coup, notre plan d'aller au marché est passé à la trappe.... Au final, j'ai passé l'aprem dans ma chambre, à lire les documents qu'on m'avait donné à mon arrivée, sans même pouvoir me connecter à internet, vu que ça marche (à peine) seulement sur la terrasse, qui était toute mouillée de pluie...

Finalement, le soir, on s'est décidés à sortir pour une promenade et un dîner. Après avoir du demander notre chemin plusieurs fois, on a enfin réussi à trouver ce resto où on mange du 'sin-dat ' , un plat à mi chemin entre brasserade et fondue chinoise. Buffet illimité à moins de 6€, avec viande, poisson légumes fruits... De quoi bien se remplir la panse! (La photo a été prise à la fin du repas, pas eu le temps d'y penser avant avec toute cette nourriture qui nous attendait!) 

Et maintenant, lundi, premier jour de cours. Me revoilà en mode prof. Pas facile... Enfin, je ne sais toujours pas trop quand, quoi et où je vais enseigner, mais bon, apparement, c'est comme ça que ça se passe au Laos....
