Wat Phnom Pao

One afternoon, in between two classes, the Frenchies and I decided to cycle up in the hill, to find and visit that beautiful temple that we always see from a distance. It wasn't actually that far, but we did a tiny detour (Jon turned left when we should have turned right...) The temple of Wat Phnom Pen is used as a retreat for the monks here, as it is a lot quieter than the temples in town. Plus you get a great view over Luang Prabang from up there! 

Un après-midi, entre deux cours, les français et moi avons décidé de prendre nos vélos et grimper la colline dans l'espoir de trouver et visiter ce joli temple que l'on voit toujours dans le lointain. Ce n'etait en fait si loin que ça, même si nous avons fait un tout petit détour... (Jon est parti à gauche quand il fallait tourner à droite...) Les moines viennent à Wat Phnom Pen pour méditer dans la tranquillité, vu que l'athmosphere est quand même largement plus calme là-haut qu'en ville. Et en plus il y a une vue magnifique sur Luang Prabang.

Climbing up to the very top, each room becoming more and more narrow... On est montés jusque tout en haut, chaque pièce devenant de plus en plus étroite!
